The Crappie bite is heating up on the lake!

Had the pleasure of fishing with Jason and company on Sunday. The weather was the best we had seen since the season started, and so was the fishing. The morning started off good and steady with the bite getting better as the day progressed. The fish have made a quick push to shallower water, and we found fish in the 6-10' range on structure. The sun had stacked them up pretty thick and we were able to manage a few fish per pile. I also noticed folks drifting and longlining catching fish. As always in March, if you can get a few days of stable weather you can usually get on a pretty good bite. I look for things to continue to get better as the lake warms up and clears up. It is looking like we are going to have a good spring this year on the lakes. I have just a handful of days left in April and, I am thinking of running two trips on days if I have half day trips. I am still doing some teaching classes if anyone is interested on learning just give me a shout!

Also a big Shout out to Ross Wimberley with Cedar Ridge Guide service for helping me out with this crew!

Hes a great guide and runs a great service!
